Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
• Virginia LPN licensure required; radiology license if radiology tasks are performed.
• AHA BLS-HCP certification required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills; EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provides practical nursing support under physician/APP supervision in a clinic setting.
• Performs patient assessments including vitals and chief complaint.
• Prepares patients for provider evaluation and assists during exams.
• Administers medications and injections as directed by the provider.
• Documents patient information in the EMR accurately and timely.
• Educates patients on medications, treatments, and follow‑up care.
• Assists with referrals and pre‑authorizations.
• Maintains clean, stocked exam and treatment areas and supplies.
• Performs lab tasks such as specimen collection and basic testing.
• Assists with radiology procedures and ensures safety precautions.
• Adheres to infection control and safety standards.
• Supports telehealth services as applicable.
