Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support licensed practitioners in patient care at our Issaquah clinic. You will perform MA II duties, assist with procedures, and follow established policies to ensure safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistant, or
• Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program, or
• Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces, or
• Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
• Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 6 months healthcare experience
• 6 months Medical Assistant experience

Responsibilities

• The MA II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients.
• An MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work.
• An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

Education

Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with hands-on clinical training

Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program

Completed two years of medical training in United States Armed Forces

Minimum one year of MA experience with vital signs, injections, and medications administration

Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire

National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire

6 months healthcare experience

6 months Medical Assistant experience
