Job summary

Tryfacta is seeking a Medical Assistant for our client in Los Angeles, CA 90048. This 13-week contract position supports OBGYN services and requires hands-on venipuncture, Epic experience, and strong patient communication.

The role includes rooming patients, recording vitals, assisting with exams and procedures, administering injections, and processing specimens. Float to nearby CSMN OBGYN locations as needed; BLS required; minimum 2 years outpatient MA experience.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience in an outpatient clinic.
At least 1 year of recent OBGYN clinic experience — REQUIRED
Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program
Epic experience — REQUIRED
Hands-on venipuncture/blood draw experience — REQUIRED
BLS certification — AHA or ARC only
High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

Prepare adult patients for OBGYN visits and procedures.
Obtain and document vitals, height/weight, medical history, medications, and allergies.
Assist providers with OBGYN examinations and procedures.
Perform venipuncture and collect, label, and process specimens.
Perform urine dipstick/urinalysis and blood glucose testing as required.
Assist with and prepare patients for procedures including Pap smears, colposcopy, LEEP, D&C, EMB, IUD insertions/removals, Nexplanon, and NST.
