Job summary

Christus Health in Texas is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support patient care with accurate data entry, insurance verification, and professional communication with patients, families, and staff. The CMA will assist physicians and clinics, and ensure smooth front- and back-office operations.

This full-time role requires CMA certification and BLS, with a typical schedule 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of medical office experience preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is required.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants in giving superior medical care.
• Accurate Data Entry of charges on patient accounts, registering patients, and updating patient accounts.
• Insurance Verification and recording of Statistics.
• Assist with scheduling patient appointments, answering phones, keeping providers informed of changes, and informing patients of their benefits.
• Other duties as assigned.
