Banner Health's University Medical Center Tucson seeks a BE/BC Obesity Medicine Physician to join a multidisciplinary weight-management program within an MBSAQIP-accredited bariatric surgery initiative. The ideal candidate collaborates with surgeons, family medicine, and dietitians to provide comprehensive obesity care.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Bariatric Surgery and Obesity Medicine teams, managing non-surgical and surgical options, and contributing to clinical education

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Arizona medical license (or eligibility by hire date).
• Board Certification in Family Medicine preferred.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible through ABOM.
• Fellowship in Obesity Medicine or obesity management experience preferred.
• Strong interest in academic medical setting.

Responsabilités

• Foster collaborative relationships across Surgery and Family Medicine to care for obesity patients.
• Participate in a multidisciplinary team offering surgical and non-surgical weight-management options.
• Support development and maintenance of Banner - University Medicine Bariatric Surgery and Obesity Medicine services.
• Provide ongoing care for patients preparing for, or post, bariatric surgery.
• Engage in education, training, and clinical research opportunities.
• Increase community awareness of bariatric and obesity medicine programs.
• Identify opportunities for program growth and continuous quality improvement.

Formation

MD or DO degree

Arizona medical license

Board Certification in Family Medicine preferred

Board Certified or Board Eligible through ABOM

Fellowship in Obesity Medicine or obesity management experience preferred
