Advocate Health Care is seeking an OB Laborist Physician in Chicago, IL to join the OB/GYN team at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. The role involves managing all deliveries for the Advocate Medical Group OB/GYN unit and supervising residents, with a back-up OB/GYN on site 24/7.

• BC/BE in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) is required or eligible.
• IL medical license is required.
• Experience supervising residents and collaborating with multiple teams is preferred.

Highlights

• Manage all deliveries for the Advocate Medical Group OB/GYN group at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center (12 FTEs)
• Join a group of 4 OB Laborists
• Hours: 173 (12)-hr shifts annually / 7a-7p or 7p-7a
• Act as the supervisor for Resident, Family Practice, and Midwife deliveries
• Volume: 1,542 deliveries total at the Hospital in 2022, about 1,288 for this group
• Resident interaction: Obstetrics & Gynecology, Family Practice, and Emergency Medicine
• MFM deliveries go through our residents who are supervised by our OB hospitalists
• No Emergency Room and no GYN responsibilities
• There is a back-up OB/GYN physician on 24-7
• EPIC EMR

Training and/or Experience Required

• BC/BE in OBGYN
• License in IL
