Job summary

Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, MO is seeking a Staff Registered Nurse (RN) to direct and perform nursing care for patients on their team within the scope of the nursing license. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Missouri RN license or eligible to practice as a graduate nurse in Missouri.
• Knowledge of growth and development across life stages: newborn, adolescence, early adulthood, middle age.
• Self-motivated and able to follow hospital policies and procedures.
• Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• ACLS certification or must be obtained within 6 months.
• NRP certification or must be obtained within 6 months.
• Basic Fetal Monitor Course current or obtained within 9 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and demonstrate knowledge of fetal monitoring.
• Assist providers with procedures in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Nursery.
• Implement patient care according to plan and document per policy.
• Demonstrate positive patient and customer service relations.
• Participate in Quality Improvement projects and promote departmental improvement.
• Assist co-workers as needed and requested.
• Support the Medical Center’s Mission/Vision/Philosophy.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Serve as sitters after completing sitter education and training.
