Baystate Health is seeking an experienced OB Hospitalist for the Academic Tertiary Care Center at Baystate Medical Center in Western Massachusetts. The role focuses on inpatient obstetrical care with antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum coverage in a Level III NICU setting.

The position offers a 24/7 OB Hospitalist model with no call, strong academic ties, and opportunities for faculty involvement with residents and fellows.

Qualifications

• Board-certified Obstetricians and Gynecologists (OB/GYN) with subspecialty expertise preferred.
• Comfortable managing complex intrapartum care.
• Experience collaborating with residents, maternal-fetal medicine consultants, and certified nurse midwives.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient obstetrical care including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care.
• Operate in a 24/7 OB Hospitalist model with no call.
• Collaborate with CNMs, OB/GYN generalists, and MFM specialists.
• Educate and supervise residents and medical students.

Baystate Medical Center is seeking an experiencedOB Hospitalistto join our well-established and collaborative OB Hospitalist team. Baystate is theonly academic and tertiary care center in Western Massachusetts, providing comprehensive obstetrical care to a diverse and high-acuity patient population.

Position Highlights

• Inpatient obstetrical care only:antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum coverage

• 24/7 OB Hospitalist model withno call

• Work within a multidisciplinary team that includesCertified Nurse Midwives, OB/GYN Generalists, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists

• Approximately4,200 deliveries annually, with a high proportion of high-risk pregnancies

• Level III NICUon site

Scheduling Flexibility

• Choice of12-hour and/or 24-hour shifts

• Inpatient-only practice

• Full-time equals an average of:

• 14 twelve-hour shifts per month, or

• 7 twenty-four-hour shifts per month

Academic Appointment

OB Hospitalists hold afaculty appointment with UMass Chan Medical School – Baystateand serve as core faculty for our24 OB/GYN residents. Faculty also contribute to the education ofEmergency Medicine and Family Medicine residents, medical students, and advanced practice providers.

• Salary range: $305,000 – $370,000,commensuratewith experience
