Job summary

Mercy Medical Group (MMG) in the Sacramento region is seeking a full-time Board Certified OB Hospitalist to join our team. The physician will cover the OB emergency department, labor and delivery patients, and provide emergency gynecologic consults, with availability for surgical support.

Based at Methodist Hospital of Sacramento, the role offers twelve 12-hour shifts per month (potential for 24-hour shifts), with additional compensation for extra shifts.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board-Certified in OB/Gyn (ABMS or AOA).
• Active California medical license or ability to obtain.
• DEA certification.

Responsibilities

• Cover the OB emergency department and labor & delivery.
• Provide emergency gynecologic consults and surgical assist.
• Attend 24 hour back-up OB on-call as needed.
• Shift pattern includes twelve 12-hour shifts per month; 24-hour shifts optional.

Mercy Medical Group (MMG), a large multi-specialty medical group in the Sacramento region, is looking to add a full time Board Certified OB Hospitalist Physician to their team. Responsibilities would include covering the OB emergency department, covering patients in labor & delivery, providing emergency gynecological consults, and being available for surgical assist needs. • Incoming physicians would be based out of Methodist Hospital of Sacramento
• Hospital does approximately 1800 births/year
• 24 hour back-up Ob on-call.
• Full time would be twelve 12 hour shifts/month and shifts can be done as 24 hour shifts.
• Additional compensation provided for doing additional shifts.
• Level II nursery with support from the Level lll NICU at Mercy San Juan Medical Center
