Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking talented individuals to join our OB Home Care Team for a Per Diem role. Travel to patient sites within a two-hour radius of Fort Lauderdale, FL is required, with hours typically 9 AM–5 PM and some weekend availability.

The role focuses on skilled nursing care for high-risk expectant mothers in-home, building trust and providing education while coordinating with physicians. Per diem structure allows flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Florida.
• Current BLS and/or CPR certification (or willing to obtain).
• 1+ years of labor and delivery or obstetrical nursing experience.
• Ability to use MS Word, MS Outlook and the Internet.
• Must be able to commute within a two-hour radius of Fort Lauderdale, FL.
• Availability to work at least two weekdays and one Saturday per month.
• Driver's license and reliable transportation for travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care for expectant mothers in home care.
• Travel to patient sites within a two-hour radius for in-home care and education.
• Continuously assess the mothers' condition and safety at home.
• Modify the plan of care based on reassessment and orders.
• Establish trust and long-term relationships with expectant mothers.
• Provide clinical support to physicians/hospitals as requested.

UnitedHealth Group is seeking talented individuals to join our OB Home Care Team! We deliver services across the entire continuum of maternal-newborn care. Our elite team of OB Nurses is growing, and we want YOU to join this dynamic and exciting group. Enjoy a Per Diem opportunity while providing compassionate care to high-risk moms in-home and telephonically.

This is a Per Diem role within PlanCandidates must be willing and able to drive up to 2 hours one way to see a patient if necessary. Minimum required availability is two weekdays and one Saturday per month. Workdays hours are flexible with typically hours from 9AM-5PM.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care for expectant mothers in the home care environment
• Travel to provide in-home patient care and continuous education to patients and family members
• Continually assess the mothers' condition to ensure they are safe in the home environment
• Modify the plan of care, as appropriate, based upon reassessment, change in prescriber orders, the patient's need for further care or services and the achievement of identified goals
• Establish trust and build long term relationships with expectant mothers
• Provide clinical support to key physicians / hospitals upon request

Required Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of Florida
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or CPR certification, or willing to obtain prior to starting employment
• 1+ years of labor and delivery or obstetrical nursing experience (high-risk perinatal, antepartum)
• Ability to utilize Microsoft programs including MS Word, MS Outlook, and the Internet
• Ability to commute within a two-hour radius of Fort Lauderdale, FL
• Availability to work at least two weekdays and one Saturday per month
• Driver's License and access to reliable transportation that will enable you to travel up to two hours one way to patient sites within a designated area

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN
• 3+ years of experience in labor and delivery or obstetrical nursing (high-risk perinatal, antepartum)
• Home care experience
• Demonstrated IV infusion competency

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
