Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonography graduate for a full-time ultrasound position in the AHNMG OB/GYN department in Macon, GA. The role involves performing ultrasound exams, supporting radiologists, and contributing to patient-centered care in a busy hospital setting.

Requirements include ARDMS/ABOBGYN or ARRT(S) licensure, BLS, and the ability to handle physical demands of the job. Work hours are standard with a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a comprehensive medical diagnostic ultrasound program required.
• Certification: ARDMS or ARRT (S); Abdomen (AB) or OB/GYN Registries required; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient.
• Assists Radiologist in performing invasive procedures.
• Evaluates technical quality of exam and optimizes technique for efficiency.
• Supports Patient-Centered Care philosophy and meets patient needs.
• Reports malfunctioning equipment to appropriate leaders or engineers.
• Operates ultrasound system, entries exams and supplies charges.
• Maintains neat, stocked work area and adheres to department rules and professional standards.
