Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a highly qualified sonographer to independently operate ultrasound equipment for OB/GYN exams. You will review patient history, prepare patients, and communicate findings to physicians, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and high ethical standards.

The role requires ARDMS OB/GYN certification within 9 months of hire, Nuchal translucency and CLEAR certifications within 9 months, and BLS. Prior PACS/DR experience is preferred, with EMR proficiency a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED/equivalent required
• Minimum of three years of OB/GYN ultrasound experience
• ARDMS OB/GYN certification within 9 months of hire
• Nuchal translucency certification within 9 months of hire
• CLEAR certification within 9 months of hire
• BLS certification
• EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform OB/GYN ultrasound exams according to department guidelines.
• Communicate results to the attending physician as appropriate.
• Prepare patient and equipment for exams and maintain exam rooms.
• Enter patient reports into the reporting system and ensure records are complete.
