Job summary

Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, IA is seeking a fellowship‑trained OB/GYN to join an employed practice. The position offers a balanced mix of obstetrics and gynecologic surgery, with access to the da Vinci Xi robotic system for minimally invasive procedures.

Responsibilities include labor and delivery coverage, antepartum/postpartum care, triage, gynecologic consultations, and surgical care. The practice delivers about 90 deliveries per month and operates within a Level II maternity

Qualifications

• Current license to practice in the State of Iowa.
• Board certification in applicable specialty within five years of residency training.
• Fellowship waiver approved by Credentials Committee, Medical Executive Committee, and Board of Trustees.

Responsibilities

• Labor and delivery coverage.
• Antepartum and postpartum care.
• Triage and gynecologic consultations.
• Surgical care including gynecologic procedures.
• Collaborative support from certified nurse-midwives and family physicians.

This is an excellent opportunity to care for a diverse patient population while enjoying a balanced mix of obstetrics and gynecologic surgery.Our Level II Maternity Center features a 10-bed Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit with a dedicated operating room for labor and delivery. The practice averages approximately 925 deliveries annually and offers significant surgical volume, with an estimated 50/50 split between gynecology and gynecologic surgery.
