Job summary

Ascension in Round Rock, TX seeks a licensed OB/GYN physician to join a Level II Maternal and Neonatal designated facility with 24/7 anesthesia support. The 181-bed hospital emphasizes high-quality, patient-centered care within a not-for-profit system.

You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat obstetric and gynecologic patients, participate in quality initiatives, and ensure seamless continuity of care from admission to discharge in a collaborative team of five physicians and support staff.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive OB/GYN care by evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients using advanced clinical skills to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Champion clinical excellence and cost-effectiveness by participating in quality improvement initiatives that elevate patient safety and care experience.
• Provide seamless continuity of care by serving as admitting, attending, or consulting physician for hospitalized patients, collaborating across teams from admission through discharge.
• Collaborate on complex cases by providing inpatient and outpatient specialty consultations with a 5-physician group and 24/7 anesthesia support.
• Document patient journeys accurately to support insurance requirements and advocate for patient care approvals.
