Job summary

PeaceHealth in Longview, Washington seeks a Physician Assistant to join our OB‑GYN team per diem. The PA provides comprehensive women’s health care across the lifespan, collaborating with physicians and care teams in outpatient and potential inpatient settings.

Candidates should have WA PA licensure or eligibility, NCCPA certification, DEA registration (or ability to obtain), and BLS. OB‑GYN or women’s health interest is preferred, with team-based care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current WA State PA license or eligible.
• NCCPA certification.
• DEA registration (or able to obtain).
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive women’s health care including gynecologic and obstetric services under physician supervision.
• Conduct histories, exams, assessments, and develop treatment plans.
• Manage routine gynecologic care, prenatal and postpartum visits, and contraceptive counseling.
• Assist in minor procedures and support surgical care as appropriate.
• Order, interpret, and discuss diagnostic test results with patients.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care.

Physician Assistant – OB‑GYN (per diem)

Longview, Washington

Job Summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our OB‑GYN team in Longview, Washington. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality women’s health care across the lifespan in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. The PA will work closely with OB‑GYN physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver comprehensive outpatient (and potential inpatient) services.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive women’s health care, including gynecologic and obstetric services, under physician collaboration
• Conduct patient histories, physical exams, assessments, and develop treatment plans
• Manage routine gynecologic care, prenatal and postpartum visits, and contraceptive counseling
• Assist in minor procedures and support surgical care as appropriate
• Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic test results
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, preventive care, and wellness
• Document care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and care teams to ensure continuity of care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and follow evidence-based clinical guidelines

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current or eligible Washington State Physician Assistant license
• NCCPA certification
• DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
• BLS certification

Preferred:

• Prior experience in OB‑GYN or women’s health (new graduates with strong interest encouraged to apply)
• Experience working in a team-based, integrated healthcare system
