Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide direct patient care across ambulatory, inpatient, and procedural settings. The role includes taking histories, performing exams, ordering tests, and developing care plans with follow-up.

The PA will order medications, write prescriptions, document thoroughly, and perform bedside procedures as needed, working within a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required and license to practice as a Physician Assistant.
• Experience as a licensed Physician Assistant preferred.
• Skilled in taking medical histories to assess medical condition and interpret findings.
• Ability to maintain quality control standards.
• Calm, effective in emergency situations and able to interpret and apply guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across ambulatory, inpatient, and procedural settings.
• Perform complete histories and physical examinations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests.

Job description

Provides direct patient care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population in the ambulatory, inpatient, and/or procedural setting
Performs complete histories and physical examinations
Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests
Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings
Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures
Consistently provides high quality and timely documentation including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes and discharge summaries
Performs bedside procedures, as appropriate to the patient population
Discusses patient data with other physicians and professionals as appropriate in a multidisciplinary setting

Requirements

• Master's Degree Physician Assistant required
• Experience as a licensed Physician Assistant preferred
• Skilled in taking medical histories to assess medical condition and interpret findings
• Ability to maintain quality control standards
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
• Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures
• Ability to communicate clearly and establish/maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public
