OB Hospitalist Group (OBHG) is recruiting for hospitalist positions in Albany, Valdosta, and LaGrange with 24-hour shift coverage. The sites feature NICU-equipped facilities, robust obstetric teams, leadership opportunities, and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with obstetricians to ensure that every pregnant woman presenting to the hospital is cared for by an experienced physician.
• Collaborate with NICU and maternity teams at Albany, Valdosta, and LaGrange facilities to maintain high-quality obstetric care.

Locations:

Openings: 24hr shifts

• Full-time: 5-7 shifts per month

• Part-time: 2-4 shifts per month

• PRN: No shift commitment (back-up)

This opportunity involves working collaboratively with local obstetricians to ensure that every pregnant woman who presents to the hospital is cared for by an experienced physician every time.

About Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital - Albany (Rate Increase!)

Phoebe Putney's NICU is a Level III Provider of Newborn Services and Neonatologists are available 24 hours a day at the main campus. The facility is also equipped with on-site MFM support and in-house anesthesia. The hospital hosts 10 suites for routine deliveries, high-risk pregnancy monitoring, 2 antepartum suites, 2 cesarean birthing suites, and a Mother/baby unit in addition to the NICU.

About South Georgia Medical Center - Valdosta

South Georgia Medical Center (SGMC) has a full-service maternity center that provides every family a safe and nurturing birthing experience. SGMC welcomes 2,400 babies every year and has a robust care team that includes 24-hour OB coverage, 24-hour anesthesiology coverage, 24-hour neonatology coverage, lactation consultants, and a nursing team. SGMC also has an onsite OB Emergency Department, Level IIB NICU and uses wireless monitoring for mom and baby.

About WellStar West Georgia Medical Center - LaGrange

This 276-bed facility has served the West Georgia and East Alabama communities for 80 years. It has been named one of the nation's 100 Top Hospitals by Truven Health Analytics, one of the country's 100 Great Community Hospitals by Becker's Hospital Review, and Georgia's #1 Largest Hospital by Georgia Trend magazine. The facility is equipped with a level II NICU with MFM support and 24/7 CRNA assigned to L&D. They currently see around 77 deliveries per month.
