Qualifications

• Equivalent to a Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• California Nurse Practitioner license required.
• Knowledge of nursing process and medical model.
• Ability to perform emergency resuscitation.
• Ability to manage and lead clinic operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform histories and physical examinations on adults and children; order tests as needed.
• Gathers complete medical history and performs exams.
• Prescribes medications under supervising physician.
• Reviews labs and diagnostic imaging; arranges follow-up.
• Provides health education and documents it appropriately.
• Assists in training staff and participates in provider meetings.
• Reviews referrals and ensures appropriate follow-up.
• Responds to medical questions when NU is unavailable.
• Triages walk-in patients and coordinates care.
• Supports front/back-office staff in arranging patient visits.
