Clinical responsibilities include labor and delivery care, ED consults, GYN service, and emergent gynecologic surgeries, with required procedures encompassing cesarean delivery, D&C (obstetric and gynecologic), diagnostic and operative laparoscopy, and urgent or emergent gynecologic cases. Call is shared with other OB/GYN generalists within the department and a Certified Nurse Midwife, with locum clinicians serving as backup to the ED for consult coverage. Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology and BLS certification are required for this assignment.
