Destinations such as Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve, Kanopolis State Park, and Geary County provide additional options including nature trails, a fish hatchery, and historic downtown parks, while the state's riverfront attractions, recognized food scene, and live music and festival events contribute to a well-rounded experience throughout the assignment period.
