Job summary

77 consultants in Lafayette seeks an experienced OB/GYN for a contract role providing labor and delivery, obstetric and gynecologic care with a strong team including 7 OB/GYNs, 5 midwives and 4 WHNPs. DaVinci robotic surgery and Epic EMR are used.

The position offers a competitive salary with RVUs, a $150K sign-on bonus, relocation assistance and full benefits. Schedule includes Monday–Friday with weekend rotations and 24-hour call coverage.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in OB/GYN preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine and emergency obstetrical and gynecological care
• Perform gynecological examinations and procedures
• Manage prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care for expectant mothers
• Educate patients on health care, pregnancy, and preventive practices
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
• Document patient findings and treatment plans accurately
• Stay current with updated medical guidelines and practices
• Participate in continuous professional development and education
