The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians & Surgeons seeks a full-time hospitalist at the rank of Assistant or Associate Clinical Obstetrician Gynecologist, board-certified or eligible, to provide inpatient women's health services across Westchester and the Bronx.

Ideal candidates have inpatient obstetric focus or hospital-based obstetric care expertise; fellowship in OB hospitalist medicine is a plus.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited university.
• Board certified or eligible.
• Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• New York State Medical License.
• At least 3 years' experience on Labor and Delivery post-residency.
• 0-5 years post training as Assistant Clinical OBGYN; 5-10 years post training as Associate Clinical OBGYN.

Responsabilités

• Provide coverage for Labor and Delivery.
• Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
• Provide obstetric triage care.
• Provide postpartum care.
• Provide clinical backup to the Midwifery Service.
• Manage obstetric and gynecologic emergencies.
• Provide inpatient gynecologic consultations.
• Provide consultative gynecologic services in the Emergency Room.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care.
• Participate in departmental meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in Labor & Delivery backup call schedule.
