Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, Illinois, part of the Rush University System for Health, invites applications for an OB/GYN Hospitalist. The full-time (1.0 FTE) position includes 14 shifts per month with balanced day (7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.) and night (7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.) coverage.

A 0.50 FTE option is also available to support work-life balance. Responsibilities include clinical coverage, labor and delivery support, cesarean delivery assistance, and collaboration with CNMs and hospitalists.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experiences as an OB/GYN

Responsibilities

• Clinical Coverage & Care Coordination: provide timely evaluation, management, and continuity of care for obstetric patients.
• OB Emergency Department Consultation: serve as the initial obstetric consultant for patients presenting to the OB Emergency Department at 20 weeks’ gestation or greater.
• Triage Management: evaluate and manage patients presenting to obstetric triage, including unassigned patients and patients receiving care from community providers with hospital privileges.
• Care of Unassigned Patients: assume responsibility for unassigned obstetric patients from admission through discharge, ensuring safe, coordinated care.
• Labor & Delivery Support: provide clinical support for urgent obstetric situations, including imminent deliveries and complications.
