NorthBay Health in Northern California is seeking an OB/GYN Hospitalist to join a respected team between the San Francisco Bay Area, Napa Valley, and Sacramento. The hospital performs over 1,000 births annually and features a 16-bed Level 3 NICU.

This role offers 24-hour in-house coverage with strong physician and APP support, and a transition from Cerner to EPIC planned for 2026. A competitive compensation package includes guaranteed income and substantial relocation/sign-on incentives.

Qualifications

  • MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency program.
  • Board certification or eligibility in OB/GYN.
  • Active California medical license.
  • BLS and ACLS required; NRP preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience preferred; recent residency grads considered.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24-hour in-house OB/GYN hospitalist coverage.
  • Care for approximately 135 births per month.
  • Collaborate with APPs and physicians as part of a supportive team.
  • Utilize Cerner now; transition to EPIC by Oct 2026.

Summary: OB/GYN Hospitalist opportunity in Northern California with NorthBay Health, located midway between San Francisco and Sacramento near Napa Valley wine region.

NorthBay Health is ideally located between the San Francisco Bay Area Region, Napa Valley and Sacramento. We are a Baby-Friendly hospital, and in case a baby needs extra support after birth, our level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is staffed with board-certified neonatologists.

Qualifications
  • Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Training: Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency program.
  • Certification: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Licensure: Valid and active medical license in California.
  • Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NRP preferred.
  • Experience: At least one (1) year of experience preferred, though recent residency graduates will also be considered.
Skills
  • Strong clinical and surgical skills in obstetrics and gynecology.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient education.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and general computer skills.
Employed Compensation and Perks
  • Income Guarantee: $436,800
