Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking OB locum tenens physicians to cover high-volume deliveries and complex obstetric cases in Alaska. You will provide timely beeper-based responses, manage normal and high-risk pregnancies, perform Level I/II OB ultrasounds, and participate in a full range of labor and delivery procedures.

The role involves interpreting NST/CST/FSE, repairing complex lacerations, and maintaining prepaid travel and housing while enjoying ongoing support from Weatherby’s consultant

Qualifications

FHR interpretation required (NST, CST, FSE).
OB ultrasound interpretation Level I/II.
Delivery procedures: amniocentesis, forceps, C-sections, VBACs.

Responsibilities

Provide 30-minute response time on beeper call with 100% call ratio.
See avg 5 patients per 24-hour call period.
Manage low- and high-risk pregnancy cases.
Perform ~800 deliveries per year.
OB ultrasounds Level I and II interpretation.
Labor and delivery procedures: amniocentesis, forceps, C-sections, VBACs.
NST/CST/FSE for fetal heart rate interpretation.
Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations.
Maintain malpractice insurance; travel and housing pre-paid.
Enter assignments and time in online portal.
24-hour consultant support from Weatherby Healthcare.
