Job summary

Northfield Hospital + Clinics is seeking three OB/GYN generalists to support our Women’s Health and Birth Centers amid replacement and growth. The center handles 18,000 visits yearly and expects continued growth, with birth volumes around 820 annual births in 2026.

You will collaborate with OB hospitalists, CNMs, and advanced practice providers in a patient-centered environment and benefit from a robust neonatal program.

• Completion of a medical degree and an accredited OB/GYN residency program.
• Board eligible or board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Current and unrestricted Minnesota Board of Medical Practice license.

OB/GYN Generalist Physician

Summary

Northfield Hospital + Clinics is seeking 3 OBGYN generalists due to a combination of replacement and growth in our Women's Health and Birth Centers. Our Women's Health Center completes approximately 18,000 visits annually and continues to see strong growth year over year. Our birth center has also seen strong year over year growth since 2019— we anticipate welcoming over 820 new babies in 2026! You will have the unique opportunity to work in a collaborative, patient-focused environment with a team of OB hospitalists, OB generalists, a robust certified nurse midwife program (5 CNMs), and 3 seasoned clinic-based advanced practice providers. We also have a strong neonatal nurse practitioner program to support clinicians and newborns in the Birth Center. As an independent healthcare system, you’ll have the autonomy to advocate for your patients and deliver personalized care.

Position Details

• 0.75 - 1.0 FTE (flexible based on candidate desire); 1.0 FTE = 4 days of patient contact per week on average
• Approximately 2-3 clinic days per week and 1 surgery day every 2 weeks
• Every 6th weekend with rotating holidays; weekday call coverage is approximately 1:10; total of 48-50 call days per year

Compensation

The current compensation model includes a guarantee of $418,000 (1.0 FTE). Compensation is evaluated annually for market-based adjustments.
