Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the OB/GYN clinic in Hillcrest on a per diem basis. The role supports days, 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with a 20% appointment percentage.

Ideal candidates will hold an California RN license, be able to meet BART or BLS requirements, and have advanced fetal monitoring certification with OB ultrasound eligibility. Prior experience in Women’s Health and High-Risk OB is preferred, along with familiarity with Epic charting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing with California RN license.
• BART or BLS certification at time of hire with commitment to obtain within six months.
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification (AWHONN) and OB ultrasound certification or plan to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience in Women's Health with High-Risk OB; familiarity with Gender Health and Virology OB; knowledge of sterile technique.

Responsibilities

• Provide autonomous nursing care per ANA standards.
• Care for OB/GYN patients in ambulatory clinic and per diem schedule.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support clinic operations.
• Contribute to process improvements and patient care outcomes.
