Job summary

AdventHealth in Littleton, Colorado is seeking a Registered Nurse for an OB/GYN clinic with OB experience preferred. The role involves assessing patients, developing care plans with a multidisciplinary team, and delivering education and care coordination.

Requires RN licensure and BLS certification; 1+ year of medical office experience preferred. Part-time daytime schedule with comprehensive benefits from day one is offered.

Qualifications

• RN required and BLS certification required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; associate's degree required.
• OB/GYN clinic experience and/or labor/delivery exposure a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.
• Develop and implement patient care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate competency in IVs, wound care, medications, catheterization, and specimens.
• Advocate for patient safety and rights and provide education.
• Engage patients through motivational interviewing and teach-back.
• Coordinate group visits for high‑risk patients and assist in transitions.

Job Description

• Registered Nurse for an OBGYN clinic, with OB experience preferred. Labor and delivery experience and prior clinic experience are a major plus
• Assesses patients’ physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interviews, and review of medical records and clinical data.
• Develops and implements patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, observing outcomes in accordance with nursing standards.
• Demonstrates competency in therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection.
• Advocates for and protects the health, safety, and rights of each patient.
• Provides patient and family education based on assessment of learning readiness, needs, and ability, and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching.
• Encourages patient engagement in healthcare through motivational interviewing, self-management protocols, and teach-back methodology.
• Delivers relationship-based care, engaging patients in all aspects of care with respect for cultural differences and diversity.
• Delegates tasks to non-RN personnel in accordance with State Board of Nursing and hospital policy.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Coordinates and implements group visits for identified high-risk patient populations.
• Aids in the care transition of high-risk patients, including medication reconciliation and coordination of services.
• Contributes to continuous process improvement by actively participating in patient experience and satisfaction initiatives.
