Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in nursing is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as an obstetric nurse.
• Certification: BLS (American Heart Association/Basic Life Support) required; obstetric inpatient certification preferred.
• License: Florida Registered Nurse License required.
• Other: Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to work independently and with a team; maintains confidentiality; knowledge of obstetric/maternal services policies.

Summary

Requirements

Education:Associates degree in nursing required. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as an obstetric nurse.

Certification: BLS (American Hearth Associate/Basic Life Support) required. Certification in Inpatient obstetrics preferred.

License: Florida Registered Nurse License Required.

Other:High-level skills in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills required. Must be able to work independently and with a team, with a high level of confidentiality. Some skills in researching evidence-based practice. Use of patient safety tools required. Knowledge of Obstetric/Maternal Services policies and standards of practice. Member of Association of Womens Health and Neonatal Nurses preferred.
