University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS seeks an OB Birth Clerk / Patient Care Tech (PCT) for day shift, full-time work.

The role combines clerical and clinical support to maintain accurate records, complete birth certificates, and ensure proper patient processing in Epic. The ideal candidate will hold a CNA certification and a High School Diploma or GED, with healthcare experience preferred.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) credential required.
• Healthcare setting experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provides clerical and clinical support to the department to contribute to an effective and organized department.
• Maintains files, medical records, and unit forms in a timely and accurate manner.
• Completes and maintains Electronic Birth Certificate documents to ensure legal registration of newborns per KDHE statutes.
• Answers phone calls, responds to patient call lights, and screens unit visitors.
• Coordinates with office staff to ensure patients have appropriate follow-up appointments scheduled.
• Greets patients, rooms patients, and enters patient information in Epic.
• Performs Quality Control and EHR audits as requested.
