Job summary

Dallas Center United Methodist is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 12X3 Night shift. The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, Texas RN licensure (or eligibility), and current BLS certification. A minimum of six months RN experience is preferred.

You will render professional nursing care, participate in the nursing process, and support the hospital’s mission and goals. Responsibilities include safe medication and IV administration, patient and family education, and

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards, ensuring safe, therapeutic patient care and effective communication with patients and families.
• Performs nursing processes (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and contributes to patient/family education.
• Administers medications and IVs accurately and timely, maintaining complete and timely documentation.
• Performs duties as assigned while supporting teamwork and professional growth.

Your Job Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Your Job Responsibilities

Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building. Assumes responsibility for the nursing components of the patient/family/significant other educational process. Communicates to the team, co-workers, patients, and family members and evaluates understanding of informational manner. Creates and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, coworkers, and facility. Ensures complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information. Provides a therapeutic environment through safe, accurate, and timely medication and IV administration. Takes personal responsibility and initiative for performance and for professional growth and development. Utilizes the nursing process to ensure quality patient care is provided throughout the episode of care. Other duties as assigned.
