Job summary

Invenergy, LLC is seeking an O&M Technician for the Lackawanna Energy Center in Jessup, PA. The role requires operating and maintaining a 1500 MW combined cycle facility, with emphasis on safety and team collaboration. The facility is located in the borough of Jessup, Pennsylvania (near Scranton, PA).**Position Summary**The O&M Technician provides the organization with a knowledgeable, multi-skilled, troubleshooting expert who operates and maintains a combined cycle power station. This position requires highly flexible individuals that work various shift schedules in a team environment. Invenergy will train extensively in the operations area to compliment your skills.**Reporting**This position reports to the Operations Manager.**Responsibilities*** The O&M Technician will be a team player performing operations, maintenance and technical support to achieve safe, cost effective operation and maintenance of the Lackawanna Energy Center.* Operate the facility during start-up, shutdown, normal and emergency conditions in accordance with operating procedures and instructions to maintain a safe and efficient operation.* Maintain and trouble-shoot mechanical, electrical and or control systems in a power generation facility.* Perform/direct housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean safe work environment and professional appearance.* Work within and ensure strict adherence to all safety and environmental procedures.* The O&M Technician will work various shifts and be subject to scheduled and unscheduled overtime and must be able to work holidays.**Requirements*** High school diploma or equivalent* Experience in power plant operations, mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance or instrument and controls.* Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software.* Good verbal and written communications skills.* Candidates must be willing and capable of becoming multi-skilled and be part of a self-directed work team in a team environment.* Each employee will perform both operations and maintenance.* Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.* Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.**Preferred Requirements*** GE Frame 7FA or 7HA experience desired but not required.*This is a safety sensitive position.
