Job summary

Invenergy LLC is seeking an Operations & Maintenance Manager to oversee Sheldon Wind, Marsh Hill Wind, and Orangeville Wind plus Battery Storage Energy Centers in Strykersville, NY. You will lead maintenance operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage high voltage systems across the facilities.

The role requires hands-on supervision, coordinating with contractors and internal teams, and delivering proactive and reactive maintenance plans. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 6 months of supervisory experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of 34.5 kV and 345 kV systems incl. protection relays, padmount transformers, fault identification, NERC/OSHA and electrical safety requirements.
• Experience using CMMS to maintain equipment records and reporting.
• Knowledge of high voltage tooling and PPE.
• Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders, and work at heights.

About The Site

The Sheldon Energy Center is a 112.5 MW wind power generation facility utilizing GE 1.5 MW SLE WTG turbine technology.

Marsh Hill Energy Center is a 16 MW wind power generation facility utilizing GE 1.6-100 WTG turbine technology.

Orangeville Energy Center is a wind power generation and energy storage facility located in Strykersville, NY.

Position Overview

As an Operations & Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for managing Sheldon Wind, Marsh Hill Wind, Orangeville Wind and Battery Storage Energy Centers.

Responsibilities

• Responsive and able to manage to deliverables and contractual obligations, while interfacing with varying parties internally and externally with competing interests.
• Prepare and implement operating procedures, complying with company, customer, and industry standards, ensuring compliance with all Federal, State, and Local requirements.
• Operate and maintain high voltage electrical equipment through known maintenance practices.
• Climb wind turbine towers, on a limited basis, wearing all required safety equipment, to inspect equipment.
• Understand electrical and mechanical functions as well as engineering drawings of all components in the Balance of Plant system.
• Maintain inventory, tooling, facilities, equipment and parts.
• Identify, document, and communicate opportunities for operational and quality improvements.
• Obtain, compile and analyze information to properly identify course of action for proactive and reactive maintenance and repairs.
• Provide a high level of professionalism and technical expertise, while working with minimal oversight.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals, budgets, labor costs and reports.
• Evaluation and supervision of contractor scope, proposals, and repair work.
• Perform required inspections and reporting in a professional and effective manner.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of six (6) months of supervisory experience
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Knowledge of 34.5 kV and 345 kV systems including but not limited to; protection relays, padmount transformers, fault identification, maintenance requirements, NERC, OSHA and Electrical Safety requirements.
• Experience utilizing CMMS system to maintain equipment records and reporting.
• Knowledge and experience with high voltage tooling and protective equipment.
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather, climb ladders without assistance and work at heights greater than 80 meters (250 feet).
• Ability to move and manipulate up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
• Weight must not exceed 120 kg (265 lbs.) excluding equipment/gear worn when performing job related tasks.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Able and willing to travel up to 25%.

Base Pay

$115,000.00 - $155,000.00 USD Annual

Bonus: 10% - 40%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
