Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent and manufacturing/machine operation experience.
• Ability to read instructions, evaluate numbers, and measurements accurately.
• Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Observe safety procedures and regulations in performance of duties.
• Purchase materials and schedule sewing projects to meet demands.
• Receive orders and assign sewing projects.
• Train new employees and retrain others as required.
• Measure, cut, and sew nylon and synthetic materials to spec.
• Assemble slings per work order and customer specs.
• Inspect finished products for quality and document completion.
• Monitor machines for defects and maintenance.
• Perform routine sewing machine maintenance such as needle replacement.
