Job summary

Jefferies is seeking a Software Developer in Test (SDET) for an Equity Derivatives trading platform. The role involves developing automated testing tools, functional analysis, and QA for in-house derivative products, spanning multiple asset classes with a focus on Equity Derivatives.

You will work with QA and development teams to prioritize manual tests for automation, build automated suites, and drive testing strategies across APIs and backend components.

Qualifications

• 5+ years automating manual test cases for complex applications (C#/C++ backend).
• Proficient in Python scripting for test automation.
• Hands-on with UI automation tools (UFT, TestComplete, Ranorex or similar).
• Experience with Jira, HP ALM, QTest for test management.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools (Bamboo, Jenkins, Bitbucket, SonarQube) and BDD test frameworks.
• Knowledge of SQL Server and data validation in QA.
• Strong SDLC & QA process understanding in Capital Markets/Derivatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated test tools to support QA efficiency and regression focus.
• Create and execute test plans and strategies for the trading platform.
• Collaborate with QA and development leads to prioritize manual tests for automation.
• Perform functional analysis and QA for in-house derivative products.
• Provide automation training and support to team members.
