Job summary

The firm reporting to a Chambers-ranked Corporate M&A practice is launching its new New York office and seeks a 3-4 year Associate to handle sophisticated M&A matters with direct partner access and meaningful client interaction from early in your tenure.

You will draft and negotiate acquisition documents, conduct due diligence, coordinate processes, and advise on strategic acquisitions and mergers in a growing, entrepreneurial environment with hybrid working and a clear path to partnership.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of corporate M&A experience at a recognised law firm.
• Experience working on private M&A transactions and general corporate matters.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to manage multiple workstreams.
• Collaborative approach and desire to develop within a growing practice.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating acquisition agreements and ancillary transaction documents
• Conducting and managing due diligence exercises
• Coordinating transaction processes and working closely with specialist teams across the firm
• Advising clients on strategic acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, and investments
• Supporting transaction execution from initial structuring through to closing
• Building direct relationships with clients and gaining meaningful responsibility from an early stage
