The New York Organizing Director at the Working Families Party leads state-wide organizing strategy, coalition-building and power-building. You will recruit and train grassroots leaders, collaborate with allies and candidates, and shape NYWFP’s multi-racial, working-class power in electoral and policy campaigns.

This high-impact role demands strategic vision, strong management and fundraising experience, and a commitment to racial, social and economic justice.

Formación

• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in electoral organizing, union organizing, political campaigns, coalition-building or related leadership roles.
• Demonstrated strong political instincts and strategic judgment in complex electoral environments.
• Demonstrated ability to create and manage organizing campaigns, with experience leading electoral field programs and volunteer infrastructure.

Responsabilidades

• Set and drive a comprehensive, multi-cycle organizing and growth strategy that strengthens NYWFP bodies and leadership.
• Oversee the budget for an organizing plan tied to endorsement strategy and campaigns.
• Develop and implement an ambitious training program for campaign skills and political education.
• Build and sustain partnerships with labor, community organizations, and coalition allies to run high-impact campaigns.
• Navigate complex political dynamics with judgment and diplomacy.
• Oversee regional membership growth and engagement, ensuring pipelines for leadership development.
• Design and manage member development and stewardship, education, and skill development for NYWFP leaders and volunteers.
• Identify potential leaders among members and activists.
• Craft and lead programs to engage members year-round according to the electoral calendar.
• Guide scalable organizing models including volunteer leadership structures.
• Ensure systems track membership, engagement, and outcomes.
• Supervise regional organizers and coordinate planning.
• Grow the base of support among multi-racial working-class voters.
• Learn and manage digital organizing tools to complement on-the-ground work.
• Participate in fundraising with annual goal of $100k/year.
• Contribute to compelling narratives that reinforce our brand and values.
• Manage contact lists and maintain up-to-date records.
