Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, quality engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in quality/production engineering in manufacturing.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading engineers or project teams.
  • Experience with SPC, FMEA, MSA, and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Experience driving quality improvements and operational excellence programs.
  • Experience using analytical tools such as Python, Minitab, JMP, or similar data analysis software.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and lead organizational change.

As an NXE Production Engineering Quality Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring quality is embedded into every stage of manufacturing within our NXE factory in Wilton, Connecticut.

This leadership position combines people development, quality strategy, and operational excellence. You will build and develop a high-performing team of quality professionals while driving factory-wide quality improvements that support production, customer satisfaction, and future growth. The NXE Production Engineering Quality Manager helps create a culture where quality ownership, continuous improvement, and defect prevention are part of how the factory operates every day.

Role and Responsibilities

As an NXE Production Engineering Quality Manager, you will lead the Quality Engineering organization supporting NXE factory operations. You will establish the vision, strategy, and priorities for the team while partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to drive sustainable improvements across quality, manufacturing, and business performance.

You will:

  • Lead, coach, and develop Quality Engineers and technical project leaders.
  • Establish team priorities, development plans, succession strategies, and talent growth initiatives.
  • Define and communicate the quality vision, roadmap, and strategic objectives for the factory.
  • Drive defect prevention, process control, quality gate deployment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build organizational capability through training, coaching, and technical competency development.
  • Partner with manufacturing, engineering, supplier quality, and operations teams to resolve systemic quality challenges.
  • Sponsor cost reduction initiatives that improve quality performance, operational efficiency, and business results.
Education and Experience

To be successful in this NXE Production Engineering Quality Manager role, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, quality engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in quality engineering, production engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading engineers, technical teams, or project leaders.
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Experience driving quality improvements, operational excellence programs, and business process improvements.l
  • Experience using analytical tools such as Python, Minitab, JMP, or similar data analysis software.
  • Proven success influencing cross-functional stakeholders and leading organizational change.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
