ASML is the world's leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, manufacturing complex machines that are critical to the production of integrated circuits or microchips. This position is for a First Line Support Production Engineer with an innovative attitude to work in the Production Engineering department in Wilton Factory (Wilton, CT). The candidate will work with cross-sector employees to provide rapid responses to resolve production disturbance notices related to engineering issues. In addition, the candidate will perform the engineering steps listed in the production operator dashboard (POD) to support output.
As a First Line Support (FLS) Production Engineer, you'll work directly with manufacturing to solve technical issues that arise during the build, test, and qualification of complex high-tech products. This is a highly hands‑on engineering position, with approximately 75% of your time spent in the cleanroom supporting production and troubleshooting issues that could impact manufacturing output.
You'll provide rapid engineering support for problems involving mechanical assembly and alignment, glass-to-metal bonding, flow and thermal performance, tooling and test stands, module testing, and final qualification. You'll evaluate failed parts, perform root-cause analysis, develop troubleshooting guidelines and OCAPs, and partner with multidisciplinary engineering and manufacturing teams to implement both immediate fixes and longer‑term improvements.
Beyond day-to-day troubleshooting, you'll contribute to PFMEA, manufacturing procedures, diagnostic qualification, technical work instructions, DOA root-cause analysis, and cycle‑time and labor‑hour improvements.
