Job summary

Pacific University invites applications for the NWS Member of School Student Advisory Team - Creative Thought & Expression. This is a part-time, student position to support the School Chair and Student Advisor in ensuring student voices influence cross-disciplinary engagement.

Responsibilities include coordinating communications, events, and experiential learning across schools, with possible roles as communications lead, events lead, career & experiential learning lead, or creative lead.

Qualifications

• Pacific University undergraduate student.
• Prefer federal work-study funding for the 2026-2027 academic year.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
• Able to manage sensitive information in compliance with FERPA and university policies.

Title of Position: NWS Member of School Student Advisory Team - Creative Thought & Expression

(Up to 4 positions available per School, maximum of 5 hours per week, 12 weeks per semester.)

Department Name, location of department: New Schools: Creative Thought & Expression

Purpose of Position: Faculty Support

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Students in this position will work with their School Chair and Student Advisor to the School Chair to ensure the school effectively integrates student voices and crosses disciplinary divides to provide an engaging environment for students within the schools. Individual school advisory
teams also work as a collective to maintain coordination and collaboration across schools to create cohesion for the college. Possible specific roles include communications lead, school events lead, career & experiential learning lead, and creative lead. Wage rate: $16.80/hr

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Pacific University undergraduate student
• Qualifies for federal work study funding for the 2026-2027 academic year (preferred, but not required)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
• Able to manage and maintain sensitive and confidential information, ensuring it is handled securely and in compliance with FERPA regulations and Pacific University’s policies and procedures
• Possesses good oral and written communication skills, and excellent customer service skills including the ability to work with diverse populations of students, staff, faculty, and community members
• Self-motivated
