Job Summary

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We are looking for a Network Deployment Build Lead to join our growing team within infrastructure operations. The role drives stability and sustainability of next‑generation networks and assists in developing ways to automate and scale our network.

Responsibilities
  • Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles
  • Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords
  • Specify power and cooling requirements and ensure hardware racking/stacking completed for new equipment
  • Participate in migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware
  • Scale support of multiple data center locations and provide day‑to‑day assistance with capacity management
  • Work closely with internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution as directed by Network Leadership and Technical Project Managers
  • Leverage experience supporting large‑scale, enterprise‑class networks, network implementation, and troubleshooting
  • Establish and follow best practices and refine operational procedures
Travel

Must be able to travel within and outside the regional work area and possess a reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds
  • Work 24/7 with ability to participate in primary responder rotation and provide after‑hours support as needed
  • Work in cramped, elevated, and/or noisy environments
  • Bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing, and walking for up to 8+ hours a day
  • Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation

Basic Qualifications
  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience
  • 1+ years of computer networking experience
  • Experience in computer networking
  • Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
  • Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds
  • Experience working with Linux operating systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Data center experience
  • Industry standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+)
  • Experience with common tools related to network troubleshooting, including VFLs, OTDR and power meters
  • Knowledge of major command line protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and common networking protocols (BGP, OSPF)

Benefits & Compensation

Base salary range: $30.00 - $54.00 USD hourly. Compensation includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
