Job summary

NVIDIA offers a 12-week full-time internship in our industry-leading Computer Architecture teams. Interns will gain hands-on experience and contribute to projects with real impact while based in Santa Clara, CA.

We seek students pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Electrical or Computer Engineering, with strong foundations in graphics, deep learning, parallel programming, and HPC. Prior experience with CUDA, HDL, and Linux is valued, and intern benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled in a university pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. degree for the full duration of the internship; anticipated graduation date must be clearly indicated on a resume or CV.
• Course or internship experience related to Computer Graphics, Deep Learning, Ray Tracing, Parallel Programming, Memory Architecture, or HPC Systems.
• Experience in Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL, CUDA, Linux, C, C++, Python, Perl, DirectX/OpenGL/Vulkan, GPU Computing (CUDA/OpenCL), version control (Perforce, Git).

Throughout the 12-week full-time internship, students will work on projects that have a measurable impact on our business. We’re looking for students pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. degree within a relevant or related field.

What we need to see:

• Must be actively enrolled in a university pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, for the full duration of the internship; anticipated graduation date (month and year) must be clearly indicated on a resume or CV to be considered.

Course or internship experience related to the following areas could be required:

• Experience in one or more of these focus areas: Computer Graphics, Deep Learning, Ray Tracing, Parallel Programming, Memory Architecture, or High-Performance Computing Systems
• Digital Systems, VLSI Design, GPU or CPU Architecture, Computer Arithmetic, CMOS Transistors and Circuits, Computer Organization, Computer System Design
• Deep Learning, Modelling/Performance Analysis, Parallel Programming
• Hardware Control Programming, GPU Acceleration, Parallel Processing (CUDA), High-Performance Computing (HPC), Embedded Systems

• Depending on the internship role, prior experience or knowledge requirements could include the following programming skills and technologies: Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL, CUDA, Linux, C, C++, Python, Perl, Modern Graphics APIs (DirectX, OpenGL, Vulkan), GPU Computing (CUDA, OpenCL), Revision Control (Perforce, Git), HPC (MPI, OpenMP)

Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay based on the position, your location, year in school, degree, and experience. The hourly rate for our interns is 20 USD - 71 USD.
