Clinical Coordinators are ultimately responsible for the coordination of all clinical services, to include but not limited to: Person-Centered Plans, medical appointments, assessments and consultations, new admissions, Behavioral Support Services, and quality of data collection contained in clinical record. Clinical Coordinators are responsible for employee training of all clinical services, and in the development and reviewing of all protocols. Clinical Coordinators provide direct supervision to the Residential Coordinators. Clinical Coordinators maintain 24/7 responsibility for assigned homes. Clinical Coordinators work as a member of the Leadership Team to insure quality of services. All services are to be provided in a manner consistent with Volunteers of America Chesapeake & Carolinas values, mission, principles and in accordance their policies, procedures, and practices as well as state licensing standards. Clinical Coordinators report directly to the Assistant Director.

The Residential Coordinator reports to the Assistant Director, NVIDD and is responsible for the daily health , safety, and well-being of individuals receiving services, safety of their living environments and the recruitment, scheduling, training and supervision of the staff providing direct support services. All services are to be provided in a manner consistent with Volunteer s for America Chesapeake values, mission , principles and in accordance with their policies , and practices as well as state licensing standards. Residential program sites operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in a human services field, and at least one year of experience working with people with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
  • Must be able to work a 40 hour weekly flex schedule in an effort to meet the demands of the individuals in the home.
  • Participate in weekend on-call rotation.
  • Attend training a c tiviti e s, meetings, and routine supervision with the supervisor.
OTHER
  • This position requires driving the company vehicle for company business including transporting clients / residents. Must be privileged to drive according to the criteria set forth by Agency MVR guidelines.
    • Valid driver's licens e in jurisdiction of residence
    • Vehicle liability coverage if driving personal vehicle (on occasion , may be required to t ransport individuals in persona l vehicle)
    • May be required to drive a van
  • Acceptable EBI background, FBI Fingerprint (Fieldprint), Child Protective Services (Central Registry), and OIG Exclusion check
  • Negative Drug/fB Screening
  • CPR/First Aid Certification must be acquired and m a intained once employed
  • Therapeutic Options and Medication Administration certification must be acquir e d and maintained.
  • Other trainings as required by DBHDS must a l so be maintained.
