Job summary

URBN in Raymore, Missouri is seeking a Maintenance Technician III to lead advanced troubleshooting, own automation systems, and mentor technicians.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls issues across conveyors, ASRS, and packaging, troubleshoot PLCs and industrial networks, and drive reliability improvements.

This role follows a night shift (KC3 E410B) and requires 3+ years in automated environments with CMMS experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred).
• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in automated environments.
• Strong experience with PLCs, servo systems, and advanced electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to lead complex troubleshooting and maintenance efforts.
• Experience with CMMS systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and controls issues across automation systems.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profinet).
• Serve as technical owner for key systems, including advanced faults, timing, and integration issues.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement reliability improvements.
• Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Read and interpret complex electrical schematics and system documentation.
• Coordinate with OEMs and third-party vendors for advanced support.
• Document maintenance activities and system performance in CMMS.
• Support equipment upgrades, trials, and capital projects.
• Mentor and train Maintenance Technicians I & II.

Role Summary

The Maintenance Technician III is a senior-level technician responsible for advanced troubleshooting, system ownership, and reliability improvement of automated equipment. This role serves as a technical expert, leading complex diagnostics, mentoring technicians, and supporting automation systems.

Schedule: KC3 E410B (Wednesday-Saturday 5:30pm-4:00am)

Role Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and controls issues across automation systems (conveyors, sortation, ASRS, packaging)
• Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profinet)
• Serve as technical owner for key systems, including advanced faults, timing, and integration issues
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement reliability improvements
• Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies

Role Qualifications

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk throughout a shift
• Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods
• Reach, pull, push, and lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 pounds
• Operate warehouse equipment safely as required for the position (i.e. pallet jack, box cutter, carts) which requires coordinated movements
