Job summary

LifeSpire of Virginia is seeking a Nutritional Assistant to prepare and complete table and tray service for residents in Health Care and Assisted Living. You will work as part of a caring team to support resident well-being and nutrition.

Qualifications

• Must have dietary, server, or medical education/experience!
• Flexible schedule, including weekends
• Previous table service experience preferred
• Able to read, write and perform basic math calculations
• Basic nutritional knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assembles all food items on trays according to menu selections and dietary orders
• Maintains electronic records of meal attendance
• Posts weekly menus
• Checks and records temperatures to ensure proper temperatures in foods and freezers/refrigerators
• Handles food, equipment, and supplies per Health Department regulations
• Resets table linens after each meal
• Maintains proper food storage
• Demonstrates courtesy and tact with residents, team members, and management
