Purpose Statement

The job of Warehouse Foreman is to maintain required inventory levels; ensure specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct; verify stock and identify losses; maintain an organized warehouse layout; and direct assigned workers to complete assignments safely, properly and timely.

Essential Functions
  • Attends meetings to receive and/or convey information.
  • Conducts physical inventories to update computer inventory and identify losses.
  • Coordinates scheduling of services for assigned areas to meet staffing requirements and comply with regulations.
  • Coordinates warehouse purchases with purchasing to keep expenditures within budget.
  • Maintains files and records for documentation and resource information.
  • Maintains warehouse inventory to ensure availability of required items.
  • Responds to inquiries to provide requested information or refer to appropriate resources.
  • Supervises assigned personnel to administer procedures, monitor performance and achieve departmental objectives.
  • Trains personnel (e.g., forklift, powered electric equipment) to develop safety awareness skills complying with OSHA regulations.
Other Functions
  • Assists other personnel as needed to support completion of work activities.
