Job summary

A leading health services provider in Dayton, OH, is seeking a Nutrition Services Aide to assist in preparing therapeutic diets for patients and crafting meals. The ideal candidate should have a food handler's permit and experience in institutional cooking. Qualifications

Possession of a food handler's permit, if mandated by state or county regulations.
Training in food preparation for therapeutic diets preferred.
Recent institutional cooking experience and special function cooking experience preferred.
Knowledge of food safety guidelines preferred.
May be required to work weekdays and/or weekends, evenings and/or night shifts if needed.

Maintain proper temperature for both hot and cold foods.
Interpret written recipes and follow written and/or verbal orders.
Portion, weigh, and garnish food according to menus.
Assemble/deliver late patient trays, supplements, nourishment and special requests as needed.
