Health and Human Sciences Extension programs promote optimalwell-being of individuals, families, and communities.

This position will teach basic nutrition, health, physicalactivity, food resource management, food safety, and food securityconcepts to Missourians. Can also present at conferences for schooldistricts. Will co‑teach programs with a Regional Specialist toaudiences that qualify according to program guidance, asrequested.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Provide educational programs to youth and adults.
• Utilize approved curricula.
• Select appropriate activities for specific audience from theapproved curriculum.
• Collaborate with Regional Extension specialists and communityagencies who serve limited resource audiences to developeducational opportunities as well as implement policy, systems andenvironmental (PSE) initiatives.
• Serve on local school wellness committees, as needed.
• Submit reporting and evaluation in a timely fashion.
• Assist individuals in completing SNAP applications.
• Ability to travel and to work flexible hours including eveningsand weekends is required to fulfill assigned responsibilities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Shift

Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Ability to travel and to work flexible hours, including someevenings and weekends, is required to fulfill assignedresponsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education andexperience and at least 6 months of experience from whichcomparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant work experience in Nutrition, Education, HumanDevelopment, Social Work, Consumer & Family Sciences, PublicHealth, or Communication can be substituted at a rate of one (1)year experience is equivalent to five (5) college credits—up to amaximum of ten (10) years. An additional nine (9)-ten (10) collegecredits will be required.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
