Job summary

Summary: Responsible for securing patient meal selections and special requests and needs via telephone or face to face interactions.

Morrison Healthcare is a Compass Group company. Full-time and part-time Nutrition Operator roles are available at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, with afternoon/evening schedules. Prior nutrition, call center, or patient dining experience is required to ensure compassionate service and dietary accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Follows proper telephone etiquette with patients, visitors and healthcare professionals.
• Offers alternatives to menu per diet restrictions and patient preferences.
• Responds to patient needs promptly and escalates issues to supervisor when needed.
• Ensures dietary restrictions and diet orders are followed for patient meals.
• Coordinates with nursing to meet patient food needs.
• Maintains HIPAA confidentiality and patient rights per policies.
• Follows HACCP and sanitation guidelines.
• Completes required daily/weekly/monthly reports on time.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• We are hiring immediately for full and part timeNUTRITION OPERATOR positions.
• Location: Mayo Clinic - 4500 San Pablo Road, Jacksonville, FL 32256. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full and part time schedules. 3:15 pm to 7:15 pm and 4:0 pm to 7:30 pm, days may vary; weekends are required. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Previous nutrition, call center, or patient dining experience required.
• Fixed Pay Rate: $20.50 per hour

Job Summary

Summary: Responsible for securing patient meal selections and special requests and needs via telephone or face to face interactions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follows proper telephone etiquette and procedures with patients, visitors and healthcare professionals.
• Offers alternatives to menu as allowed on prescribed diet in accordance with food allergies and sensitivities, cultural, ethnic and religious preferences, when patient inquires or needs additional selections.
• Responsive to patients needs at all times. Resolves patient concerns or complaints immediately and/or reports needed assistance to supervisor as appropriate.
• Complies with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets to ensure optimal food preferences are met within guidelines of diet order limitations.
• Interacts with nursing to ensure patients diet prescriptions are accurate, and patients food needs are met.
• Adheres to facility confidentiality and patients rights policy as outlined in the facilitys HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Follows HACCP guidelines when assembling and distributing food supplies to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
• Completes all daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined in the corporate policies and procedures on a timely basis meeting all prescribed deadlines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
