LSU AgCenter's Orleans Parish Extension Office in New Orleans, LA, is seeking a Nutrition Educator 1 to educate and engage the community on nutritional health. The role involves outreach, partnering with local agencies, and delivering nutrition education to limited-resource youth and families within the parish.
The educator will work flexible hours, travel daily within the assigned parish, and may participate in community events promoting health and nutrition.

The Nutrition Educator position provides nutrition and parenting education to limited-resource youth and families in a variety of settings within their assigned areas/parish. The educator should understand and connect to community resources through collaborations with community agencies and programs for recruiting and assisting program participants. The individual is responsible for conducting educational outreach focusing on state and federal program priorities to designated target audiences.
